Help for Parents
Hamilton Trust, a provider used by school staff, are piloting a new site for parents. You can find this totally free site at www.hamiltonathome.org.uk.
This site is providing:
- How to guides, comprising short, specially produced videos and guidance on how to help your child with phonics, reading, writing, maths and computers. This section of the site includes not only some golden rules but also helpful activities for parents to share with their children.
- Things to do! Providing original and entertaining educational materials - animated tales, oral stories (on video and as sound only), recipes and downloadable resources involving cutting and sticking, designing and puzzling, calculating and communicating, and even telling jokes!
- Here you will find a number of specially tailored activities to enjoy at home linked to a topic that interests you or your child. Or choose one that they are, have or will be studying at school.
